Prima Pramac Yamaha MotoGP experienced contrasting fortunes on the opening day of the British Grand Prix at Silverstone. Jack Miller confirmed the positive pace shown throughout both practice sessions by securing ninth place in the afternoon Practice, earning direct access to Q2, while Toprak Razgatlıoğlu endured a more challenging Friday as he continued his adaptation to MotoGP at one of the fastest and most demanding circuits on the calendar.

Miller was consistently competitive from the opening laps, steadily improving his pace and remaining firmly inside the top ten when it mattered most. His ninth-place finish rewarded the work carried out by the team throughout the day and gives the Australian the opportunity to fight for the front rows of the grid in Saturday's qualifying.

For Razgatlıoğlu, the day proved considerably more demanding. Although Silverstone is not entirely new to the Turkish rider, his previous experience at the circuit dates back to the 2014 Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup, more than a decade ago, on machinery vastly different from today's MotoGP bike. As a result, Friday was largely dedicated to rebuilding his references, understanding the circuit with the Yamaha YZR-M1 and adapting to the unique demands of the high-speed British layout.

While Miller begins the weekend from a strong position, Razgatlıoğlu will look to use Saturday's sessions to continue closing the gap and gain further experience. With qualifying and the Sprint Race still to come, Prima Pramac Yamaha MotoGP remains focused on maximising the potential of both riders and continuing the development of the project.
